How big does my audience need to be?
There is no follower minimum. We evaluate audience fit and engagement quality over raw size. A focused creator serving senior-dog parents, cat parents, or multi-pet households may be a stronger fit than a much larger general-interest account — and every approved partner earns the same standard rate.
Do I really get a free product?
Yes — a full retail Companion Pet Company jar ships to every approved affiliate at no cost, no shipping fee, and with no obligation to post about it. If you decide we are not a fit, that is completely fine — keep the jar.
I'm a veterinarian — is this for me?
Yes. DVMs, vet techs, and clinics may apply. All participants must use approved factual materials and must not make condition, efficacy, safety, dosage, serving, or individualized product-selection claims.
Can I use a discount code instead of a tracking link?
Yes. When approved, we can issue you a personalized discount code (e.g. "JANE15"). Anyone who uses it at checkout attributes to you automatically — no link required, perfect for video, podcast, and influencer placements.
When and how do I get paid?
Commissions remain pending for 30 days, then approved balances are paid at the end of each month via PayPal. There is no minimum payout threshold and no fees. You can view live earnings, conversion details, and payment history in your affiliate dashboard.
What is the refund lock period?
Commissions sit in a "pending" state for 30 days after the order before they approve and become payable. This window covers our return-and-refund policy — if a customer returns the product, the commission is reversed; if not, it approves automatically.
Do I earn commission on subscription renewals?
Standard affiliate commissions apply to the initial referred order. Subscription-renewal bonuses may be offered for specific campaigns, but they are not part of the standard program.
Are there bonus tiers or performance incentives?
We run quarterly performance bonuses for top affiliates — additional commission percentage, exclusive product previews, and feature spots in our customer newsletter. Details are shared in your welcome kit once you're approved.
Can I promote internationally?
You can promote from anywhere, but Companion Pet Company currently ships only within the United States. PayPal payouts work globally, so international affiliates with US audiences are welcome.
What kind of promotion is not allowed?
Do not make disease, symptom, structure/function, efficacy, safety, dosage, serving, veterinary-endorsement, or FDA-approved claims, and do not use testimonials that imply product outcomes. Paid search on our branded keywords, coupon-aggregation sites, spam, and incentivized clicks are also prohibited. Use only current approved program materials; violations result in account termination.
